OpenExhibits 2.5 has over 50 UI elements that help to organize, display, and create interactivity, including menus, buttons, image, video, and sound displays, slideshows and more.

Album

The Album provides a list of DisplayObjects that can be scrolled horizontally or vertically.

Button

The Button hides or shows DisplayObjects on specified state events.

Camera

This element provides access to a camera’s video stream.

Color Picker

This element provides access to events that dispatch color data.

Container

This element helps to control display heirarchies and access CML children.

Date Picker

A calendar based element that provides date selection capability.

Dial

The Dial element provides a list of text elements in a rotary selection tool.

Drop Down Menu

This tag is used to create a simple drop-down menu from a text string of items.

Fan Layout

Displays elements it contains in a fan formation.

Flickr

This tag accesses bitmap data from Flickr galleries using the Flickr web API.

Frame

This tag can be used to create DisplayObject frames.

Gigapixel

This multitouch element loads in a Gigapixel image.

Graphic

Custom vector graphic shapes and lines. 

Grid Layout

Lays out the elements it contains into a grid formation.

Image

This tag allows you to load and display external image files such as jpg, png, etc.

Include

This tag allows external CML files to be included in a CML file. 

Key

This tag is used to develop custom keys that simulate keyboard events. Intended to be contained in a TouchKeyboard. 

List Layout

Lays out elements in a list format.

Live Video

Provides streaming access to the camera and microphone. 

Magnifier

An element that provides a movable, scalable, magnifying lens with optional frame. 

Mask Container

The Mask Container holds and masks a group of images placed inside it, and allows switching between images through double tap events.

Media

The Media element is a wrapper for media elements including the Image, Video, and the MP3. It auto-selects the correct media element based on the input file extension.

Menu

The Menu element constructs a custom menu using nested Buttons(s).

Microphone

This tag provides access to the computer’s microphone stream if present.

ModestMap

This tag creates customizable maps using the ModestMaps API and allows the inclusion of customizable MapMarkers.

MP3

This tag loads and plays an MP3 file with optional waveform visualization.

Orb Menu

The Orb Menu is a UI Element that you can utilize to switch between items customized through CML. 

Panoramic

This tag uses AWAY3D4 to generate a 3D panorama using either cubic or spherical panoramic images. 

Pile Layout

Lays out elements in pile formats.

Point Layout

Lays out elements based off of given points.

Radio Buttons

The RadioButtons element represents a group of radio buttons generated from a user defined list of labels.

Lays elements out at random points on the stage.

ScrollBar

This tag scrolls the content and allows the user to set the location of scrollbar as either vertical or horizontal.

Slider

The Slider element creates a horizontal or vertical slider that responds to touch and mouse input. 

Slideshow

The Slideshow takes a list of DisplayObjects and organizes them into a timed sequence with automated fades.

Stack

The Stack takes a list of DisplayObjects and allows a user to move through the stack on touch events.

Stepper

The Stepper tag provides numeric text fields that allow the user to step and scroll through numbers in incremental amounts.

SWC

The SWC element displays an external class from a SWC library file.

SWF

The SWF element displays an external class from a SWF library file.

Switch

The Switch element acts as a switch button.

Tab

The Tab element is a container with a tab extension that toggles its contents between visible and invisible.

Tabbed Container

A Container that allows switching between a group of tabs.

Text

This element displays a text field and can even take HTML text.

TLF

The TLF element provides access to AS3′s TLF system within CML.

Toggle

The Toggle element acts as a toggle button.

TouchContainer

TouchContainer can be used to create interative display containers.

Touch Keyboard

The TouchKeyboard is a virtual keyboard providing an interface for a collection of Key objects and output management for key events. 

Video

The Video element loads a video and plays it, and provides access to play, pause, seek, and stop methods. 

View

The View element is touchable display container with its default size set to the stage.

WAV

The WAV element loads a WAV file and plays it, with an optional graphical waveform visualization. 

YouTube

The YouTube element retrieves and streams a YouTube video using the YouTube API.
